Every inch of the traditional Dart cottage, Lake Victoria, has been lovingly refurbished to an excellent standard and is now bursting with contemporary colour and light.

Boltholes in Dartmouth seldom come cuter than this, and the location is nigh on perfect, situated as it is on a quiet residential street, opposite the market square centred around which are excellent gastro pubs, cafes and independent shops, not to mention quality fishmongers, butchers and an artesian bakery!

The cottage is dressed in a welcoming, light-hearted coastal theme with muted shore shades and local artwork. The living room and dining area are delightful and perfectly complemented by the funky kitchen, which has bags of character and is fully fitted with all mod cons.

For visitors to Dartmouth who, like most, want to park up and forget about the car for a long weekend or more, Lake Victoria Cottage is ideally situated for short strolls on the level to the harbour side and River Dart promenade, where you can access all manner of more refined modes of transport such as those offered by The Dart Steam Railway and Paddle Boat Company.

Parking

*Between 1st October and 30th April, there is free parking on the streets in Dartmouth's town centre and a free car park behind the old marketplace, which can be used apart from market days when the car park must be cleared.

* From 1st May to 30th September, a parking permit is provided, giving guests free parking in the Mayors Avenue car park or at the park and ride car park. Parking spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis and are not guaranteed. The parking permit can also be used in 14 different South Hams car parks, including Salcombe and nearby places, if visitors go out in the car during their stay. There is a parking space opposite the cottage on Lake Street, but this is for public use and may not always be available to guests.
