We had a lovely time in the cottage, it was very clean and comfortable.
Beautiful location and very welcoming atmosphere.

The Old Coach House was excellent with plenty of space and good location for getting around Shropshire and also possibly into Wales.
Very well equipped and immaculately kept, we highly recommend it. We went in December and the Old Coach House was always warm with excellent views, it must be amazing in Summer.
The owners were particularly friendly and helpful.

This is certainly one of the best houses I have ever stayed in - and I've stayed in a lot!!! Beautifully laid out, very warm and welcoming, spacious and comfortable. Excellent location - perfect for dog walking. Host very welcoming and informative - all in all the perfect stay!

Beautifully renovated cottage with wooden floors, outstanding kitchen and log burner set in a idyllic part of the countryside with access to walks and cycle paths.

Really enjoyed the stay at this cottage. It has the cottage charm with all the mod cons and home comforts,. Lovely quiet village setting and the bonus of nearby stables - my little boy had a fantastic time feeding the horse every day and there were toys for his age group which was the cherry on the cake (if the kids are having a good time, makes it so much easier for mum and dad).

The cottage owners were great really pleasant family and very helpful (without being intrusive). Finally thought the geographical location was great to explore shropshire - shewsbury was within an easy distance (with a car). Also lots of great nearby national trust and countryside.

A high spec cottage, and very comfortable. Great location for walks with plenty of places for our dog to go off lead ( closest the Millenium field just 50 or so yards away!). Very quiet area - we loved it!

We rented the cottage for a week in January in order to be close to family that live nearby, we had a fabulous stay! The cottage is incredibly well equipped, tastefully decorated and a great location just ouside of Shrewbury, it also offers exceptionally good value for money for the standard of accommodation offered. We loved the single mattresses/duvets in the master bedroom ensuring we slept very well. The kitchen/dining room is very spacious and we loved entertaining there. Jamie was at all times very helpful and friendly. The dogs were very comfortable and loved their walks in the field just down the road, as well as the Quarry. Perhaps a small area in the garden safe for the dogs to go out for their last wee of the evening, would be the only small improvement we can suggest.

We stayed in Sykes cottage over Christmas 2012. The interior ofthe property was clean, cosy and fitted out to a high standard. I had been nervous about the prospect of cooking a Christmas dinner in a "holiday home". I need not have been concerned - the kitchen has double oven and large american style fridge freezer.
The living room was cosy, with log burner belting out the heat required at this time of year.
The accomodation is in a rural setting but only 5 miles from Shrewsbury, which is great for shopping and restaurants.
We had a great stay, only negative was a loss of electricity due to fuse blowing and it not being re-settable from cottage, only from main house. However, owners sorted this out quickly.

We spent a week in this cottage with our daughter, son in law and twelve month old granddaughter. We could not have wished for a more comfortable or well equipped cottage.
The owner lives only yards away and we knew we could call on him if we needed anything but did not feel observed. Being SHROPSHIRE born and bred we knew the countryside around the cottage but for anyone new to the delights of Shropshire there are lots of places to explore. Our week was only marred by the weather being so cold. It would be a lovely place to go in the summertime.

Cottage is very comfortable, well equipped and very roomy with everything that you ought to need.We were lucky enough to have splendid weather and so able to sit outside in the sunshine. You have to be careful that the chickens don't come into the house though! The location means lots of interesting places are not very far away (various National Trust places and interesting Market towns etc). The owner was very helpful in suggesting places to go to eat - and the portions you get tend to be 'huge'. I'd imagine the walking and cycling from the cottage are great as it is flat there - but that was something that we were unable to do this time. I'd love to go here again.It was a real bonus having a bedroom downstairs with its own shower room - which is very suitable for an older or disabled person. .

My husband and I stayed in this cottage for a week in late September 2013.
This is the perfect cottage to relax and chill out.
It is down a quiet country lane, but only a short distance from the A5 main road, gateway to all Shropshire has to offer.
It is very well equiped, the kitchen is awsome, bedrooms bright and airy, comfortable beds. plenty of fresh towels, large lounge. We were lucky enough to have nice warm weather, so sat out on the patio overlooking the well the kept garden, had a visit from the resident chickens each day, so sweet.
It would accommodate a family of 6 quiet comfortably.
Very warm welcome from the owners, who kindly left eggs, milk, fruit etc for us. Thank you much appreciated

The Old Coach House was a very comfortable, clean and homely environment. The furnishings were to a very high standard. The Old Coach House is in a very quiet area but plenty to do in the surrounding towns and villages. Lovely relaxing week away.

We loved the property and the generous hosts putting eggs and milk in the fridge etc trying to make our first day as easy as possible. We had arrived from the USA that morning so were thrilled to see the staples there in the cottage. Makes the self catering so much easier. We could just chill out in the little garden. Luckily for us the weather was very good when we stayed there. We would like to go back in the future and have told friends about it.

It was fantastic! Location, and the cottage itself was just as promised. Wonderful fire, fully equipped with games, books, DVDs, CDs, even candles, plus it was dog friendly. It was a lovely weekend and we shall absolutely be returning. It is unusual to find somewhere that delivered far more than was promised, great though that was. Brilliant!

The owners have carried out a high standard but sympathetic conversion of a Grade 2 listed coach house to provide an excellent but very cosy cottage.
The best we have stayed in. The wood burner was just right for those cold winter nights. A very quiet relaxing area but plenty to do within a short distance. 5 stars - highly recommended.

The Old Coach House was a real home from home. It had everything we needed and more. Our hosts were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. I would highly recommend the cottage and would love to stay there again. Picture perfect!

The fact that it felt instantly like a home from home. It was very welcoming and warm as it was -5 plus outside at night. Only thing missing was a rolling pin, but don't worry we downed a bottle of white wine and improvised with the bottle!

The standard and location of the property were really excellent. The Coach House was very comfortable, clean and finished to a high standard. All four generations of our family, aged from 0 to 81 years felt very at home there. I was particularly impressed with how child friendly the accommodation was, right down to the availability of a stair gate and boxes of toys. The host was very friendly and helpful too.

Decoration and style was exactly what we look for in a property. Excellent location for what we wanted. Friendly and helpful owners. But importantly dog friendly!

All the fittings were of a high quality. We had everything we needed in this very comfortable cottage.

Accommodation was first rate and in some instances better than in my own house! You need to drive everywhere, but with the scenery available, that's not a problem.

A lovely house in a lovely location, handy for Shrewsbury and with easy access to nice days out. Standard of the conversion of this property was excellent.

The accommodation was warm and comfortable, all finished to a high standard and well kept. The area is perfect for anyone wanting a quiet relaxing break without feeling isolated. Plenty of good walks to take the dogs on. The countryside was turned into a winter wonderland due to the heavy frost we had most of the week, making a perfect atmosphere for our pre Christmas stay. The owners were helpful and welcoming, ensuring that any needs we had during our stay were met, without being intrusive.

We stayed at this property over Christmas 2012. The kitchen was incredibly well-equipped. The owners had placed a decorated Christmas tree with lights in the lounge and made it a real home from home. We were given access to logs for the wood burning stove and had chestnuts roasting in there. It was a beautiful, tasteful conversion that provided a great Christmas break, away from it all.

Lovely cottage, splendid weather (a definite bonus!), and ideal location for lots of things within an hour away - to suit all sorts of different tastes (NT / English Heritage, steam trains and canals, cycling and walks, market towns, Ironbridge etc).

The accommodation was perfect, spacious and very well equipped. We walked mainly at Nesscliffe which is a 15 minute drive away and would recommend this area for walkers.

An extremely well equipped property in a secluded area - peaceful and tranquil.

The cottage was perfectly located only a few miles from the A5, with access to many Shropshire market towns whilst being situated in a quiet rural hamlet with heaps of dog walks from the door. The accommodation suited our needs perfectly as there was a downstairs bedroom with en-suite shower room which suited my 79 year old mother perfectly.

This is a superb property in a great location. Everything works well and is very comfortable - the kitchen and lounge are fantastic. We had a great time.
