The Olde Cowshed, Shropshire
Elegant country simplicity combines with modern comfort in these luxury cottages in the village of Westhope, near Craven Arms in Shropshire.
The authentic rural exterior opens to rooms with original exposed beams and trusses, with décor chosen to blend with the character of the converted barns. Guests can choose from the five luxury cottages, which use a shared games room and gym and sit on a 250-acre farm.
Three of the cottages offer hot tubs, and all provide a king-sized bedroom and a twin room that can be converted to suit the family’s needs. Luxury fittings grace the bathrooms. Central heating and the indoor gym and hot tub allow the cottages to be enjoyed all year round. There’s a cosy reading area on the first-floor landing and a rear patio with views of the courtyard and farmland to ensure relaxation. A fully-equipped kitchen is available, or guests can choose from the many eateries in nearby villages. Guests are asked to keep dogs on a leash when outdoors.

The cottage was larger than expected, the photos don't do it justice! The location was good and the owner was really helpful and welcoming. We would return without hesitation.

The owner of the cottage was very friendly and helpful. It was a lovely relaxing place to be.
The whole area is peaceful and it's an excellent area for walking. There are also some excellent places to eat in the area.
The family that own the cottages were just brilliant. They were at hand to help with anything we needed and when I left part of my blender in one of the cottages, they posted it back to me and didn't even charge me for the postage. They were just fantastic. The cottages were beautiful and we are already planning when we will visit again as the area and walks in Shropshire were fantastic as well. Incredibly comfortable place to stay and reasonably priced. I would not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone and will definitely be visiting again.
Excellent location for walking and visiting the nearby towns. The cottage was well appointed, nice and cosy particularly in the heavy snowfalls during the week.
Great attention to detail and comfort.
The accommodation was cosy and nicely presented and fully equipped. There was plenty of room in The Olde Cowshed which is nicely laid out giving 2 separate sleeping/bathing areas if you are visiting with another couple. The location is rural with lovely views.
Everything in the The Olde Cowshed has been designed for a 'home from home' experience and all in a high standard of finish. It has been described as an oasis of calm, and it really is. There was a lovely welcome when we arrived and the owners were really helpful when approached.
Quiet, beautiful location just 10 minutes drive from Craven Arms. The complimentary wine, cakes and chocolates were appreciated.
The very kind friendly touch of the owners who had left us a beautiful vase of flowers, a cake, some wine and milk in the fridge. All of this means so much. We loved the games room and all the books and DVDs and games in the house. There is a lovely bathroom upstairs too. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
Made very welcome with fresh milk, a bottle of wine and a sponge cake on arrival. Very friendly and helpful owners.
Very comfortable accommodation with everything needed provided and of good quality. A lovely area for walking and visiting. It was peaceful and relaxing.
This was our second visit and everything had been beautifully prepared for us so that we were extremely comfortable. Local places to eat and visit are very easy to get to and we did some local walks too.
