The Old Manse, a charming 18th-century house nestled in the serene hamlet of Monzie, just 3 miles north of Crieff, offers a tranquil escape. Surrounded by the breathtaking Perthshire countryside, this spacious rural holiday cottage with a hot tub is an idyllic haven, ideally situated to explore the beauty of Scotland. With its ample space, it's an ideal setting for a weekend gathering of family or friends to celebrate a special occasion or a more extended holiday.

Perthshire, a haven of stunning scenery, offers many exciting activities. The surrounding hills, glens, and lochs beckon with interesting walks (many right from the doorstep), cycling (both on and off-road), hill climbing, water sports, and fishing. For golf enthusiasts, numerous excellent courses are nearby, including a championship 18-hole course in Crieff, and Gleneagles is just 12 miles away. Stirling, with its magnificent castle, is a mere 40 minutes away, and the vibrant attractions of Edinburgh and Glasgow are easily accessible by train or car.

Crieff has a good range of restaurants, cafes, and the oldest distillery in Scotland at Glenturret. There are many fabulous castles, historic homes and gardens in the area. Wildlife is everywhere: red kites, sea eagles, ospreys, golden eagles (if you are lucky!), lapwings, oystercatchers, magnificent skeins of geese, red squirrels, otters and deer.

Or you may prefer to relax at the Old Manse: perhaps playing a game of croquet, unwinding in the garden admiring the views (best witnessed from the hot tub!) or putting your feet up in front of the fire!

On the ground floor is the enormous kitchen, which has a 4-door Aga, American-style fridge/freezer, Nespresso machine, microwave, dishwasher and lots of crockery and cooking utensils. A large wooden table, a sofa, a TV, and a DVD player are at the far end. The laundry room (with WC off) houses a washing machine. A conservatory leads off the kitchen. It's a great place to relax if the weather isn't warm enough to sit outside.

The charming sitting room has an open fire and superb views to the south. Also on the ground floor is a double bedroom with a sizeable ensuite shower room (perfect for the less mobile) and doors leading out to the garden. The dining hall has a dining room table, a piano (very out of tune, though!), and another WC.

Upstairs are a large bedroom with a super-king bed, fitted wardrobe, and ensuite shower room; a smaller twin bedroom; a double bedroom with ensuite shower room; and a very large bedroom with basin and four single beds. The family bathroom has a shower over the pear-shaped bath and a separate WC.

Externally, The Old Manse has lots of parking space. The large garden is fully enclosed, so your children and dogs can play safely outside. Children will love the giant trampoline and a variety of garden games.
