Ty Gwyrdd at Plas Drygarn Cottages
At the foot of the beautiful Preseli Hills, Ty Gwyrdd sleeps 5/6 + our travel cot. The cottage has been sympathetically renovated to provide a comfortable place to stay on the edge of the Pembrokeshire National Park. There are ceiling beams as well as slate window sills throughout. Downstairs has a tiled floor throughout, making it child & pet friendly. We allow up to 2 well-behaved dogs with standard dog rules, not on soft furnishings, carpeted areas, or bedrooms. We supply a stair gate to facilitate this.
Inside, Ty Gwyrdd has a fully equipped oak kitchen with a dishwasher & farmhouse table dining area. The light & airy lounge, which has a SMART TV, CD/RADIO & WIFI, connects to the conservatory/sun room, which has splendid views of the surrounding countryside. Access to the patio area and garden is from these double doors.
Downstairs there is a carpeted TWIN BEDROOM alongside a separate bathroom with a large shower cubicle with a pull-down seat & handrail, so ideal for those less able who need to reside on the ground floor. Upstairs is the spacious KING BEDROOM with Smart TV & tub chair. We offer free use of our travel cot, which will fit in here easily or in the other upstairs bedroom if preferred. A small SINGLE BEDROOM along the hall has a full-size pull-out bed underneath the main single bed, but ideally for one adult and one child or two young children due to restricted space once both beds are out. Next door is another bathroom. This one has a bath with a shower above it.
Outside has a private enclosed lawned garden with fantastic views of the Preseli Hills and a BBQ plus rustic patio furniture to enjoy during summer. Outside the kitchen door is a laundry room with a washing machine, tumble dryer, clothes basket, and pegs for the outside line. There is a newly constructed garage for storing the outdoor toys/equipment & the recycling tubs. There is private parking for two cars right next to the kitchen door.
We are in a perfect location to explore the Preseli Hills, and it is only a short drive to the beautiful beaches that stretch along the Pembrokeshire coastline. The Preseli Hills are perfect for walkers, cyclists anyone interested in archaeology - the stones for Stonehenge came from here. Elsewhere there are many theme parks and family attractions to entertain the kids. The village of Crymych is close by & can be walked to in 10 minutes from the cottage via the public footpath or main road. Crymych has a wide range of shops and services, including a leisure centre with a swimming pool.

For 2023 we now have 2 Cottages sharing the lower yard. Each fenced garden faces outwards to fields to keep them as private as possible.
Both the cottages have a SATURDAY changeover day so that they can be booked together for larger gatherings.
For this smaller green cottage, we offer a 'couple only' discount if you choose to use just one bedroom. This only applies out of school holidays.

Amazing Week!
Cottage is in a great location for visiting different areas of South West Wales. Liz gave us a warm welcome to a cosy cottage with plenty of room for our family of 4 & calming views of over the neighbouring Preseli Hills. We used this as a base to visit the hill fort of Foel Drygarn, Barafundle Bay, Poppit Sands, Tenby as well as nearby Cardigan market town & Cenrath Falls, all within easy reach. Liz laid out the cottage with everything we needed to sleep comfortably, eat well & relax in the evenings after a day out walking, we even got to feed the chickens & collect the fresh free range eggs! A very well equipped, immaculately clean, private cottage with very helpful & friendly owners. Thank-you!
Binoculars
The property is in a stunning location with views that most of us could only dream of! If you have binoculars & a decent camera please bring them as you'll need them. Liz prepares the cottage beautifully to your particular needs & offer just the right amount of help/advice/during her check-in process. She's never far away if needed but otherwise you are left to a tranquil holiday/break which is perfect.A lovely property in a lovely location.. Nearby Cardigan market town is nice yo visit as is the beautiful Poppit Sands, all very dog friendly too.
3 Generation Family
WE cannot the fault the week we spent on Pembrokeshire in Liz's lovely Cottage. Everything was clean & tidy on arrival, 3 generations of our family all felt welcome right away. The area is great to get to various beaches & attractions by car, our young boys had fun doing something different every day. Special thanks to Liz for receiving our Tesco Delivery when we were late arriving & for letting us feed the chickens & collect the lovely free range eggs!
Mobility issues sorted!
The Cottage was perfect for our family needs. Having a downstairs twin bedroom & bathroom was a must for us having limited mobility travellers. Everything was thought of in advance & every need catered for. We would recommend this accommodation for peace & tranquillity, perfect for family getaways. Many thanks to Liz.
An Unspoilt Gem
3 generations of our family stayed in this quite dreamy cottage in the Easter Holidays. A lovingly restored & extended home, the Croft family have thoughtfully provided everything one would need & offer a very special welcome. Liz takes great care to ensure the cottage is spotless & nothing is too much trouble. This part of Pembrokeshire is stunning, unspoilt & full of unexpected historical gems. We would love to come back & stay in this holiday cottage again & enjoy the countryside.
Autumn Dog Walking
Lovely well appointed Cottage in a fantastic location! Found great walks for our 2 Spaniels & several smashing restaurants when we didn't want to cook for ourselves..Thank-you for a warm welcome.
Easter chicks & lambs
We had a wonderful Easter week, the Cottage was perfect with great scenery & so peaceful. The children really enjoyed collecting the eggs & seeing new chicks & spring lambs. Overall a fantastic holiday for the family & the dog. Thanks..
3rd Visit!
This is our 3rd visit to Plas Drygarn Cottage, but we find somewhere new to visit every time we come to Pembrokeshire & the surrounding area. The Cottage is ideal for all our needs especially the older members of the family who can live downstairs quite comfortably. I'm sure we'll be back next September too.
October Half Term
We had a near perfect week at Plas Drygarn even so late in the year. Our 3 children enjoyed all the beaches we found & also the climbing frame in the garden & the toys in the shed! The Cottage was lovingly set up for us with a very well equipped kitchen for self catering away from home. Thank-you for providing a wonderful home base for us..
