Compact but comfortable holiday home.

Very compact, not for large families, but very well located. Ideal for exploring the Roman Wall and the spectacular Northumberland scenery.

Clean, cosy good location accommodation

This is a great little cottage but the second bedroom is very small. It is a bunk bed which is comfortable and big enough for adults but it swamps the room and there is very very little storage space. It would be fine for a family with 2 children but not suitable for 2 couples. It was fine for us, We tossed a coin for who was going to have the bunk room. We were two friends on a walking holiday. Unrelated to the cottage but relevant if you are going for a walking holiday along the wall the AD122 bus now only runs in Northumbria. We ended up with getting Sprouls taxis for the Cumbria bit! Recommend for a couple, but not 2 couples. The bathroom was a bit cold but did pick the coldest week in May to stay.

We picked a car up at the airport, drove to the cottage and didn't use the car until the day we drove back to the airport!!!! We would go back again Haltwhistle was so convenient AND you can get there by train.

Bridge Cottage was set in an ideal place with easy access to Carlisle, Newcastle, Hadrians Wall & the surrounding countryside. The cottage was very well equipped & comfortable. Parking at rear was convenient. Although on a main road in Haltwhistle, we heard very little noise. A perfect holiday cottage.
