Lottie's Loft, Grassington

Took advantage of short break while our son in Geneva. Had a great time. Accommodation of a very high standard and very cosy. No issues with parking as found space in square each evening. Village delightful. Pubs all welcoming but food only average. Whereas mushy peas at the chippy took me back to my childhood. Would visit again.

The flat was warm and welcoming. We had a good idea
of it's location having visited Grassington some
time before. The village itself was quiet because
of the time of year but it is not far from towns
and tourist attractions for it to be an ideal base
and a place of peace and quiet to return to.

The flat had all the amenities necessary. The
equipment in the flat made the stay very
comfortable. We were not too sure about the rugs as
they moved when trying to stand up. The bed was
heavenly.

We had friends visit us on two occasions but it was
difficult to find enough seating without someone
sitting at the table on a hard chair.

The apartment was very homely with tasteful decor / furnishings. The kitchen and bathroom were modern, well equipped and clean. It was a pleasure to return to after a day out.
The location is excellent being in the centre of the village and also convenient for touring the Yorkshire Dales.
Although there is no parking at the property it was easy enough to park free within the village.

Most comfortable, clean and cosy apartment. Everything was well organised both by Sykes Cottages and the owner. Would certainly recommend to family and friends.

Lottie's was everything and more than we needed for our Christmas break in the Dales.
From the moment we entered the property we knew it was just what we wanted, the owners had made a proper effort, with Christmas gifts for both of us and a small but lovely Christmas tree trimmed up to give the apartment that festive feel.
It is ideally located right in the centre of Grassington, close to all the amenities and hostelrys.
It was very well equipped and in pristine condition.
The owners very kindly advised us where to park our car as parking is of a premium in Grassington.
Say what you liked best or least, this is easy as the cottage was very good, unfortunately Sykes nor the owners can do anything about the weather which was rubbish!

We have stayed many times in Grassington, but this was our first time in Lottie's Loft. It won't be our last. The studio is well appointed, scrupuilously clean and nicely decorated and furnished and in keeping with the character of the area. Both the large double bed and the settee are very comfortable and the whole studio is surprisingly spacious. The location can't be faulted, adjacent to the small church yard and literally seconds from the village square. Ideal for a romantic getaway to the Dales.

This was a wonderful place to stay. The road is narrow being the width of a single car and one pedestrian. Having said that unloading and loading wasn't a problem. We managed to park in front of the town hall everyday except the Friday but this was the start of Grassington festival and parking was available at the back of the town hall and the farm above.
Although WIFI was available in all the pubs nearby, and nearby is as close as few yards down the road, it would have been a lot more convenient to have had it on the premises. Our need for WIFi was to plan trips and gain history and upload photos. We were more than happy not to be on the receiving end of emails.
Please don't let any of these comments put you off because it is a great place to stay!

absolutely lovely, it had everything we needed and more and was conveniently situated in the middle of the village. the only problem was, unknown to me I had booked the accommodation when grassington festival was on. because of this we couldn't drive up to the door to unload as stated in the literature and had to find a back way into the village and then do several trips to unload. this was difficult due to our ages and disabilities. the festival is on at the same time every year and I feel that we should have been told so that we could arrive before the road was closed off or else arrive later in the day when it reopened. there was a very unhelpfull " jobsworth " character manning the road closed barrier who actually told us we couldn't get to the cottage that day !! not a good start to our holiday, however someone else told us about the back way into the village and we took things from there

Read the reviews and based my booking on what I read. When we arrived Lottie's Loft was better than we imagined. It was clean, cosy and kitted out well for our stay. Loved the decor, comfortable bed and the vaulted roof space with Velux windows added to the beautiful character of the accommodation. I would not hesitate to book here again as we loved our stay here and had a wonderful time exploring the Dales. Grassington is a really lovely village, horrible to be back home!

this flat was amazing we had a fabulous time, it was our honeymoon but it was unexpectadly cut short due to a burglary at our house. we contacted the company and they were very helpful. we will definately book to go again or if not the blacksmith cottage below. pet friendly too.

Accommodation was definitely conducive to a relaxing break. I can't think of anything which wasn't ideal.

The location was excellent for everything, walks, buses, shops, internet cafe, library. The decor was excellent, extremely pretty and good quality. Thoughtful arrangement of furniture for a bijou and compact apartment.
It was quiet and just what we needed as a comfortable base, large and comfortable bed, nice lighting and window dressing.

Lottie's Loft was beautifully decorated, homely and warm with loads of character & charm. It was spacious enough to keep it cosy and romantic. The whole place was immaculately clean and very well kept, definitely 4/5 star accommodation. It was in a perfect position, literally a couple of minutes away from the shops and local pubs and Grassington itself is a lovely quiet and peaceful, but friendly village.

A well designed, cosy and well equipped place. They had thought of everything. An excellent base for a short winter break, great walking, great Christmas shopping and great places to eat out, all close by. Hope to go back and do the same walks in the spring or the summer.

Location was fantastic and the Loft was perfect for a base for walking. The property was a really high standard and had everything we needed. It was always warm and cosy after a day out in the snow.

A lovely comfy cottage, in a beautiful location.

The cottage and village were both perfect for our stay. The village was close to areas we wanted to visit (including the Lake District, York, and Peak District) and the cottage was the perfect size and comfort for us. Visiting from the USA, we were particularly charmed by the village!

The weather was wonderful, so was able to go for lots of walks. Perfect location for things to see and do.

The loft is very welcoming we have been twice before. It is cosy and very well kept and presented. Obviously the owners take great care to make your stay enjoyable and comfortable.

We love Grassington. The people are so friendly and dog friendly. Had some great food in the local pubs and restaurants. Lotties Loft is comfortable and homely.

The accommodation was first class, centrally located making it easy to get out and about. The apartment was cosy, warm and welcoming. The owners made us feel at home by providing some Christmas presents on our arrival, a nice touch.

It was our first visit to Grassington and it was very enjoyable, this coupled with the fact that I celebrated my 50th birthday while at Lottie's Loft made the experience even more enjoyable and will be a memory I cherish. The central location of Lottie's Loft was very good.

Great place to stay, felt like home but with the beauty of the Yorkshire Dales on the doorstep. Really cosy and clean. Would we return? Absolutely!

The weather was absolutely superb, it could not have been better! We thought Lottie's Loft was ideal. We loved Grassington, as did our dog too, and the central location of the property was ideal. It was lovely to stay in a genuinely old property, with such wonderfully thick walls, and character, and yet to have such warmth and modern comfort.

The apartment was cosy and well furnished. The bed was really comfortable. Everything we needed was there and it was clear that a lot of thought had gone into making it a perfect stay. We found the accommodation ideal for our needs, and would highly recommended to others. The owner was really helpful too.

We loved Lottie's Loft, it was perfectly situated in the middle of the village and had everything that we required. It was spotlessly clean and comfortable. We had lovely weather for most of our stay and Grassington was perfect for reaching other parts of the Dales.

This must have been the most neat, clean and hygienic place we have ever been. There was a very nice welcome gift from the owners. The location was ideal, right in the centre of Grassington. This was an ideal to start the long walks in the fascinating Dales and come back for a good meal in one of the warm and cosy pubs or restaurants. It was extremely dog friendly too! We really had one of our best vacations here.

We have stayed around the Grassington area for several years and this was our first attempt at self catering. We have a dog and it was quite satisfying to find a property so well appointed that we could still take our dog along. The property could not be situated in a better spot. If you consider the parking in the town we had only a short walk to drop off and collect our baggage. The property itself was a real bonus and we all loved it. The owners who we contacted to arrange keys etc, were brilliant. We shall return!
