Forge Cottage - 2 Bedrooms

This was our second stay in the Stables and I think our 7th or 8th stay at Broadgate Farm Cottages over the last 10 years.

What can I say that I haven’t said before......it’s wonderful. From the beautiful setting to the immaculate accommodation, the little touches of Yorkshire beer, biscuits and jute bag on arrival to the cottages being so well built with excellent insulation that it was too warm to use the log burners even in Feb!

Lovely walks on the doorstep and great pubs and restaurants in the area. I have never stayed anywhere with so much detailed information for guests, Elaine thinks of absolutely everything.

All properties are so well cared for with quality furnishings and beautiful bathrooms.

I would recommend Broadgate Farm Cottages to anyone visiting East Yorkshire, we will certainly be visiting again for many years to come.

I stayed in Forge Cottage whilst attending a course at nearby Bishop Burton College, and my only complaint was that I didn't have more time to spend in this beautiful cottage.

There is an enclosed garden which was perfect for the dog, and I cannot speak highly enough of the standard of accommodation. All the facilities you could want including a fantastic woodburning stove, dishwasher etc, and everything finished to an exceptionally high standard with real attention to detail. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Broadgate Farm Cottages, and will certainly be booking again.

I have stayed in many holiday homes around the country due to the nature of my work and Broadgate farm ranks among the best. Broadgate was equipped to my every need. Free wi-fi, a must for anyone working away from home, was fast and reliable, fantastic log burner in the lounge, well equipped kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine and all modern conveniences needed. Brilliant bathroom and extremely comfortable beds. Peaceful setting with lovely farm animals nearby. The owners were so welcoming and helpful, a true joy. Here's hoping i get to stay here soon. Thanks to all at broadgate farm for making my stay one to remember. I highly recommend Broadgate farm to everyone.

Our fourth stay at Broadgate Farm and our second stay at The Forge. We love coming back each year as it only gets better! The children love staying in The Forge, not sure why may be it's because they have a bigger bedroom than us and can pop out and visit the pig (sadly one has passed away since our last visit) and sheep without us?? This year the weather was dry but chilly so we took our usual trip to Hornsea beach and did geo caching at Bishop Burton and on the Westwood. It was great that it was cold so we could make good use of the log burner. The quality of the accommodation has not dropped at all despite constantly being rented not like other accommodation we have stayed in which has looked tired. Elaine and her team do a great job of keeping the accommodation looking great and it is with our heads between our tails as we head home wishing our bathroom was half as luxurious as the one at The Forge!

We had a lovely stay in the Stables with our young Cocker Spaniel. This was our first holiday in a cottage and our first holiday with a dog so it was a new experience for us all. The layout worked perfectly for us with a bedroom and bathroom on the ground floor and the same upstairs.
The kitchen was kitted out with plenty of crockery and utensils and very quickly it felt like a home away from home.
Only a couple of minutes drive away is a huge area of pasture land, perfect for dog walking and the coast is about half an hour away. We went to Bridlington and our dog was beside himself with joy running along the lovely sandy beach. It was his first trip to the seaside and he loved it.
You will find plenty of options for picking up food essentials, there is a Tesco, an Asda and an M&S food near by. If you fancy a take away lots of places deliver. We had a lovely fish and chips delivery from the Deep Blue that had the most delicate crispy batter, delicious.
All three of us enjoyed our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to return.

Booked to stay for 4 nights in Foldyard cottage the week before Xmas. Great location, so much to do in and around the area. The standard of accomodation is excellent and can only highly recommend a stay at Broadgate.
Elaine the owner met us after we had settled in and was extremely helpful and very welcoming.
The cottage has everything and is so warm and comfortable. Tried to light the log burner but just found it overwhelmingly hot, as the underfloor heating maintains such a constant temp and sufficient heat and the air temp outside wasn't too cold.
Very spacious well appointed rooms and a lovely comfy bed . All made for a great relaxing break. Thank you so much.
