The Littlecourt Coach House, Sidmouth

We had a fantastic stay in the Coach House, the cottages are decorated and fitted to the highest standard. Inside and outside the cottages are kept immaculately clean and tidy the gardens are a pleasure to see and being able to sit outside at the seating provided is a real treat. It’s lovely to be greeted on arrival and shown round the property. Thank you Selwyn and Geoffrey as always we had a fabulous holiday.

Tips for other travellers Lots to do and see, the local busses are a must to get about. We’ve always found the drivers very friendly and helpful great service. Only a short walking from the cottages is a huge choice of places to eat in Sidmouth, the theatre and cinema are also great to visit and only a short walk.

So conveniently situated for beaches and the town centre, Coach House, especially with the recent improvements, is bright, homely and beautifully appointed. Selwyn and his team have worked so hard and so cleverly to deal with all the hygiene issues arising from the pandemic that guests have little to concern themselves with. Congratulations! Highly recommended.

We stayed in the Coach House which was excellent and had all the facilities one would need. Also the location to the town centre was only a five minute walk.

Restricted by lockdown so almost no restaurants open. Cafe Mocka great for take away and outside seating with sea view for breakfasts and cakes plus coffee. Plenty to see and do within walking distance

How lucky we were to find this gem of a place at very short notice! We have spent a few days to celebrate New Year and our 38th Wedding Anniversary in Courthaye. The cottage is warm, comfortable and beautifully furnished and has everything you could wish for. Thank you Selwyn & Geoff, Happy New Year.

We stayed in the Coach House and thoroughly enjoyed the location and the gardens. Everything was thought of down to the last detail. Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts. We shall definitely be returning again.

Our fourth visit ,as always, was up to the high standards that we have always experienced at Littlecourt cottages- Selwyn and Geoffrey wonderful friendly hosts-gardens as beautiful as ever.

Felt very safe in a well sanitised clean environment. Everything spotless on arrival with very friendly hosts Selwyn and Geoffrey always on hand. Lovely well kept garden to sit in. Glorious weather so we had breakfast and meals on the decking each day. Large LG Smart T.V.

Warm, comfortable, well equipped and spotlessly clean. This cottage has everything you could possibly need and is ideally situation for a short walk into the town. Being close to the sea front also makes an evening walk along the beach an easy option. Set in beautiful well maintained gardens with secure, reserved on-site parking The Coach House makes for a memorable stay in Sidmouth at any time of the year I can thoroughly recommend Littlecourt Cottages to anyone looking for self catering accommodation in Sidmouth, with easy access to the other main towns in South Devon

Wonderful cosy cottage. Very comfortable and well equipped. Selwyn and Geoffrey made us extremely welcome. Easy access to the town and seafront by foot. Good off-road parking. Would definitely use it again.

This is a great place to stay to explore Sidmouth and its surroundings. This cottage is excellently equipped, especially the Kitchen. The lounge is very comfortable and was spotlessly clean and cosy. The beds are very comfortable and the blinds are a lovely touch. It is very peaceful here and the outside seating area for each cottage is delightful, you just need the weather to go with it! Selwyn and Geoff are great hosts and the cottagers are all equipped to a high standard with quality furniture and nice touches that made our holiday very enjoyable and relaxing. We will come back next year as it is so lovely and central, plus decent parking too.

Well positioned in Sidmouth for all amenities including very good bus services.( free to senior citizens with bus passes) Plenty to see and do, very nice shops and an excellent repertory theatre five minutes walk away. The town is in a lovely setting, scenic cliffs at both ends of the promenade and many areas for beautiful walks. We were made very welcome by the owners.

The Coach House was a perfect base for our family holiday. Superbly equipped, meticulously clean and comfortable we enjoyed a relaxing break in the heart of Sidmouth. We hope to make a return visit! Thankyou to our attentive hosts!

Lovely week in this excellent cottage. Very warm and cosy with everything to a high standard, clean and well fitted out with everything you need. Very handy walking distance to all Sidmouth amenities with a good car park in the grounds. Nice garden area to sit in.

The stay; the location must be the best in Sidmouth. Would recommend the Clock Tower Café at Jacobs ladder, a great place to eat and sit and enjoy the surrounding (if the weather is good that is). We would recommend Littlecourt Cottages to anyone and hope to return sometime in the future.

This is my 4th stay in these cottages and my 2nd in the Coach House. It is a delightful cottage that is very homely, clean and very well furnished. There are many 'extra' touches that help to make a stay that much more enjoyable. The on site amenities are just what is needed. The location is perfect for walking into town or to the sea and beaches and yet it is in a tranquil setting, with beautiful gardens and quiet areas in which to sit. It would be hard to find fault with anything. The owners and staff are exceptionally helpful and friendly.

Ideally located for a casual walk into Sidmouth and near to shops for food and drinks, The Coach House is an ideal hide-out for a restful stay at any time of year The property is fully equipped with everything you may need and spotlessly clean throughout Beds as with all furniture are very comfortable adding to the overall experience of staying in your own private space

OK, so anyone can get it right once...but Selwyn maintains the same high standards year after year. Every time we arrive, something has been renewed or upgraded; and, of course, the place is always spotless. Coach House, like all the Littlecourt Cottages, enjoys a delightful garden setting and a perfect location close to both town centre and seafront. This visit, the sea greeted us with a dramatic display of crashing waves – the photographers among the visitors couldn’t get enough of it! – but next day Sidmouth was back to its sparkling late spring best. We’ll be back soon.

We stayed in The Coach House for three days around new year and do not have a negative thing to say. The cottage is spotless, well-equipped, warm and cosy. It's in a perfect location for a short stroll to the sea and is surrounded by beautiful gardens. Selwyn and Jeff made our stay even more special, from their warm welcome until our fond farewells. We would not hesitate to return (if there's ever a space in their booking schedule!)

Littlecourt is always a delight in itself; and so beautifully positioned with the sea front and town both just a short step away and the theatre even closer. We have enjoyed Littlecourt and its gardens many times over the years and stayed in almost all of the cottages at one time or another Coach House is certainly one of our favourites. It is ideal for a couple, beautifully appointed, cosy and convenient. Like all the cottages it has its own private space for sitting out when the sun shines but the main gardens are equally enticing. Thoroughly recommended.

The Coach House is immaculately clean and well maintained. It is comfortable to live in, everything you could need for a holiday has been provided. It is surrounded by flowers, plants, trees and shrubs and is a delight. The owners create a wonderful atmosphere. It is well located to walk into Sidmouth or the beach. We return year after year and it never disappoints.

The Coach House is exceptionally clean, well maintained and well equipped. It is very comfortable to live in and set in superb gardens. There is always a warm welcome from Selwyn and Geoff. The location is ideal for the beach and all the many amenities that Sidmouth has to offer. We return to Littlecourt cottages time and time again- for a self catering holiday in Sidmouth, it cannot be bettered.

We spent two weeks in the Coach house with our two girls, 11 and 16 years old. We were fortunate to have marvelous weather, warm and sunny every day. The house was very comfortable, well-equiped and clean and the garden beautiful! The location was perfect with the beach and town center only a short walk from the house. We really enjoyed the time and much of it was thanks to the friendly and generous owners, Selwyn and Geoffrey. We can highly recommend staying at Littlecourt Cottages.

With out doubt the ideal holiday cottage warm comfortable and very well equipped.The main bedroom is worth a mention it is very spacious plenty of wardrobe space and a huge comfortable bed.The cottage is set in fabulous gardens only minutes away from both the sea front and shopping area with a very good bus service to nearby towns, also near to several restaurants Neils fish restaurant highly recommended.

My partner and I decided to book a cottage for Sidmouth Folk Festival week and came across this by just Googling cottages in Sidmouth. It is a very comfortable, clean, quiet, stylish, home from home. The cottage sleeps 4 but there was only the 2 of us and we had a super king-size bed!! The location is great, only 2/3 minutes walk to the sea and that same to the centre of town. There is one parking space per cottage on the complex and it definitely suited us. It comes perfectly equipped with modern fixtures and furnishings and has FREE WiFi - which was a consideration to us when we booked the cottage. The cottage had Freeview TV, Blu ray player (we didn't use that), Stereo (we did use quite a bit!) When we arrived the owner welcomed us by first name and continued to do so during our stay, which we both felt was very welcoming and friendly. In fact we liked it so much we have booked for 2014! I would recommend this property to most people - the only people I wouldn't is groups looking for a party place and, for this cottage only, anyone who doesn't like stairs as there are about 15 stairs up to the bathroom - my mother wouldn't be able to stay there.

After spending three whole days in London (exciting, but very busy indeed) we were delighted to spend a week in peaceful Sidmouth. We were welcomed by two professional and helpful owners (Selwyn and Geoffrey) who went out of their way to make our stay comfortable.

We have stayed in 4 of the 5 delightful cottages at Littlecourt, all beautifully appointed. We are always warmly welcomed by Selwyn and Geoff. The gardens are particularly lovely (award winning) with quiet corners for a read after a day out in this special part of Devon. Have booked for next year already.

A really lovely rental cottage set in beautiful gardens that are well cared for by the owners Selwyn and Geoffrey. They were both most welcoming and attentive to all our needs and with some kind weather (slightly unusual so far this year) it was a most enjoyable holiday. It was especially good to be able to walk everywhere around Sidmouth as the cottage is so near the beach and the centre of town - a real bonus.

My Wife and I had a lovely week in The Coach House at Littlecourt Cottages in Beautiful Sidmouth in Devon. The accomodation was excellent. The decoration and furnishings were to a very high standard. Everything was very clean and everything you need whilst on holiday was provided. Selwyn and Geoff could not have been more friendly and welcoming and as they live on site are always on hand should you need any assistance. This is the only cottage we hadn't stayed in before and, of course, we weren't disappointed! The standard of accommodation and cleanliness is excellent and the gardens are just wonderful. We were blessed with good weather so enjoyed the garden to its full glory and even had meals outside next to the fountain. Selwyn and Geoff are such kind and thoughtful hosts and there is always an air of peace and happiness amongst all who stay here. Many tank for a lovely holiday.

The Coach House is a warm and cosy bolthole - stylishly furnished to a very high standard. Lovely large comfortable beds, modern kitchen and comfortable lounge area. Selwyn and Geoff are close by to provide any assistance you may need in a friendly and co-operative manner. The location is within minutes of the local shopping centre, the beach and promenade. Coastal walks, the Donkey Sanctuary (free admission!) and other coastal resorts are not very far away.... Sidmouth has a lot to offer with some unusual shops and lovely cafe's. Check it out!

We had a fantastic 4 day break over New Year at the Coach House. The cottage was very clean, warm, well equipped and comfortable. Selwyn and Geoff were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely go back.

We have stayed here for many years using all the cottages at various times. Constantly Improving and updating to the highest standard plus always a welcoming greeting. Littlecourt is a very special place our home from home . An extra plus is Sidmouth itself to complete your holiday.

We have had a lovely week in the Coach House. We have stayed in this cottage 4 times now. This year the cottage has been improved with a larger kitchen and double doors leading from the living room to the new terrace area. We have had breakfast and evening meals most days on the Terrace where there is a table and 4 chairs. As usual the cottage has been lovely and to a high standard with everything clean on arrival.

Another wonderful week spent at Littlecourt Cottages. This was our third stay and completely superb. The cottages are amazing absolutely perfect cant wait until next year!

Little Court Cottages are tucked away in a quiet location but only a short walk from the town centre. They comprise of 5 cottages within the grounds of the main house where the owners live and who are on hand should you need them. Their hospitality is legendary and the cottages are home from home equipped with just about everything you could ever need. The decor is of a very high standard, very cosy, and they are spotless throughout, in fact the word immaculate would be an understatement. We normally stay in The Coach House cottage which has just undergone a refurbishment with a new downstairs wc, new larger kitchen, and patio doors onto your own private terrace with table & chairs. The other big plus is the car parking facility. This is a lovely place with beautiful gardens in fact it's the nicest self catering place we have ever stayed in. Looking forward to our next visit.

Lovely cottage fully equipped in the Regency town of Sidmouth. Comfy beds, quality linen and towels and beautifully maintained communal gardens with private patio area. We have been before and will visit again.

Perfect for a relaxing holiday with all the home comforts you could wish for. The location is perfect for walking into the beautiful town of Sidmouth. Nothing is too much trouble for the owners Geoff and Selwyn

I have just spent a week in the Coach House with my partner and could not ask for anything more in a holiday rental. Selwyn and Geoff are perfect hosts and available to advise about the local area should it be required. The Coach House is a wonderful place to stay and the recent upgrades have only made a little piece of heaven even better. We would never stay anywhere else in Devon as nothing could possibly compare. Would thoroughly recommend as a holiday rental.

Always a delight, the beautifully appointed Coach House now has an even bigger kitchen, a new downstairs loo and french windows from the lounge onto its outside seating area which has become its own small garden. And, of course, the whole of Littlecourt is a stone's throw from the town centre, pubs, restaurants, the Manor Pavilion Theatre and Sidmouth's very special seafront. Quite perfect! Our next stay is already booked.

We enjoyed our stay in your lovely cottage and were made to feel very welcome by you both. We felt nothing would have been too much trouble for you. It was all wonderful so we can't think of anything to add.

We enjoyed all of Sidmouth including Connaught Gardens, the South West Coast Path, Donkey Sanctuary, the town and sea front all so easily accessible from Littlecourt Cottages. Seaton Tramway was good too. We liked The Chattery for eating out.

At Littlecourt Cottages you will want for nothing. You will receive a warm welcome and all cottages are to a very high standard. You are surrounded by beautiful gardens where you will find it easy to relax.

The cottages are located a 10 minute walk from town. Plenty of places to eat and a good variety of shops. You can travel easily to places further afield by car and loads of local walks or the South Coast Path if you wish.
