As ever, a lovely relaxing stay in Magnolia Cottage - everything is so well designed and in immaculate condition.

Littlecourt Cottages is always a perfect, peaceful oasis which is needed now more than ever. Accommodation is first class, whichever cottage is chosen, and the layout and gardens ensure privacy for each cottage. Selwyn and Geoffrey are very welcoming and helpful hosts. Like many other Littlecourt guests, we have once again booked a return trip.

Usual very high standards and comfort. Felt extremely Covid safe. The extra effort taken to help prevent spread of any potential infection was first class.

Having arrived in Sidmouth the previous day and after a rather cramped overnight hotel stay with 2 children, we decided to stay longer and explore more. The Sidmouth Information Centre pointed us in the direction of the self catering Littlecourt Cottages and we are so glad they did. We met Selwyn and moved with great delight into lovely Magnolia Cottage for a four night stay at an extremely reasonable rate even for Low Season. From Sidmouth we were able to travel to local highlights such as the Donkey Sanctuary, and to Lyme Regis which was having a lovely warm day much like at home on the Gold Coast but with the added attraction of its amazing harbour walls and fossils. We also had a day trip across to Cornwall for visits to Looe, Polperro and Mevagissey. Best of all is the town of Sidmouth itself, beautifully positioned between two magically red headlands and promoted as "Regency Town on the Jurassic Coast". Walking around town is an entertainment in itself with a plethora of vibrant and unusual shops. For the history minded there is a booklet available on the Blue Plaque buildings, and another lovely walk along the beachfront to Jacob's Ladder and Connaught Gardens. Sidmouth also marks the beginning of the South West Coast Path. As the Cottages are so close to everything we enjoyed walking around town and discovering coffee and eating places. No need to find a car park ! Magnolia Cottage is beautifully outfitted with everything a family could want, including access to a washing machine, very important when travelling with children. The biggest delight was the prizewinning garden with many unique trees and plants. On any future trip to the UK we would definitely return to Sidmouth and Littlecourt Cottages. Five of us, my wife and I, my wife's two sisters and a brother in law, stayed at Magnolia Cottage. Very well appointed, and very comfortable. Beautifull location especially if you are a garden lover.. Short walk , about 5 minutes, to the front and a short walk, again about 5 minutes, to the shops, on the slightest of inclines. Well received by our resident hosts who were very attentive and helpful, but in a discreet way.

his was our fifth stay at Littlecourt but our first in Magnolia Cottage. The cottage was superb all the luxury of a first class hotel with the convenience of self catering. The owners think of everything to aid their guests comfort, constantly updating. Sidmouth and Littlecourt is our number one place to stay. Highly recommended.

We have stayed in MAGNOLIA COTTAGE for the last 5 years and look forward to another visit in 2011. The cottages are ideally located for the town, restaurants and the beach and are set in beautiful gardens. MAGNOLIA is very well equipped with everything you could need for a comfortable stay and has the additional benefit of ground floor en suite bedroom. We have never stayed anywhere that is so consistently spotlessly clean and well furnished. The hosts Selwyn and Geoff are very welcoming and are always helpful with advice about local facilities and events

Have stayed in all the Littlecourt cottages during the last 10 years. All are impeccably clean, well furnished & equipped. Selwyn ensures everything is maintained to a high standard & is so welcoming, it's always a pleasure to go back. It feels like going home - it's so relaxing. Excellent position & beautiful gardens. Can find no faults. We have stayed in other self catering places & hotels in Sidmouth & elsewhere but always return to Littlecourt as it really is the best.

Magnolia Cottage was meticulously maintained being spotlessly clean, beautifully comfortable and up to date in every way. It would be difficult to find another place to stay which had these high standards. Peaceful location and idealy situated for shops, beach etc. We were made to feel very welcome.

A short break in the middle of the winter - this beautiful property is cosy, comfortable, well-equipped, warm, spotlessly clean, quiet yet only a couple of minutes' walk from the beaches and town centre - in brief, excellent for a relaxing time. Kitchen well equipped (a minor problem during our visit with the hot water in the kitchen, but this was due to work being undertaken at the time elsewhere on the property and didn't affect the showers in any way - which were, by the way, the best I've experienced in the UK with great water pressure). The beds are equipped with hard matresses for those who hate the soft sort.We hope to be back during the warmer weather to enjoy the beautiful garden. - Many thanks to Selwyn!

Stayed in Magnolia Cottage in August 2012 for a special family visit. The cottage was beautiful & well maintained with good ground floor facilities for our 90th birthday girl. 2 steps with a good hand rail down to the kitchen were easily managed. Lovely town centre but quiet location. Unfortunately we left it too late to book this year.

Having stayed here many times, we would highly recommend a holiday in this extremely comfortable, well appointed cottage. Beautifully situated in its own exquisite gardens within easy reach of beach and interesting town. Selwyn and Geoff are delightful hosts who - whist always available - are never obtrusive and always welcoming.

Littlecourt Cottages offers a number of cottages with different numbers of rooms and bedrooms of a very high standard set in a beautiful garden. They are excellently maintained and exceptionally clean. Conveniently located with the seafront and town centre a few minutes walk away. Well appointed, highly maintained cottages with beautiful gardens. Linen and towels provided with on site parking. Very hospitable and friendly owners. Looking forward to our next visit. Excellent!

This was our first time in Magnolia Cottage – but it could well become our favourite. The large airy kitchen-dining area, complete with all possible equipment, is particularly delightful. And, of course, opening on to the beautiful main Littlecourt garden is a special bonus.

The cottage is ideally situated close to the theatre with the seafront & the shops a short walk away. The cottage is well furnished & very comfortable. Weather permitting, there is a garden table & chairs. The garden is a delight. The owners are very helpful & friendly.

We have stayed here many times before and as usual found the cottage spotlessly clean. We had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Selwyn and Geoffrey are perfect hosts and always willing to share their knowledge of the area, what is going on and the best places to eat. The gardens were looking especially lovely this year and a perfect place to relax. The free Wi-Fi was appreciated by all.

Lovely, spacious, well-equipped accommodation really close to the beach and town centre, we didn't need to use our car at all. The owners were always helpful and friendly and we had a great stay despite the weather!

We are getting towards the end of a weeks stay in MAgnolia Cottage and quite frankly we do not want to leave. EVery need for our mixed age group has been anticipated. WE will return and would not think of staying anywhere else in Sidmouth. THis has got to be the best there is!

We have loved staying at Littlecourt for a relaxing spring break. The cottage is perfectly kept and is in a quiet road just a short walk to the local theatre, the Esplanade, the shops and restaurants when they reopen. Sadly, they were closed, thanks to Covid so we made good use of the local delicatessen. Commendable in every way!

Very pleasant and relaxing stay in Magnolia Cottage. Everything clean and to a high standard with Selwyn and Geoffrey excellent hosts. Plenty of areas to sit in either beside the cottage or in the lovely well kept gardens to take in the sun. Only 4 minutes walk from town and beach. Designated parking area in the grounds so the car is safe, which is very important. We have stayed at Littlecourt Cottages numerous times over the years and keep coming back! Sidmouth is a gem town with a lovely prom and is handy for visiting Exeter and other parts of Devon including Dartmouth if you feel the need.

The cottages are surrounded by beautiful gardens that provide colour, scent and tranquility yet within a ten minute walk is a flat promenade next to the sea and plenty of excellent restaurants. The kitchen at Magnolia had everything you could ever want and the dining area was light and spacious. Three en-suite showers with toiletries was a bonus, as was the heating provided on chilly days! I could happily live here!

There's a reason why these cottages are fully booked so far in advance. Don't know whether to keep it a secret or brag about finding such a perfect spot. Superbly clean and well organized, Selwyn and Geoff work tirelessly to maintain everything to very high standards, it's more like staying in a country home than a cottage. The gardens are beautiful with shrubs and trees planted to give privacy from all angles. The property is conveniently located within easy walking distance into Sidmouth or the sea front. We booked a month so that family members could come and stay at various times. Big plus was having en suite bathrooms for each bedroom.

We have returned for many years and would recommend Littlecourt Cottages to everyone. Selwyn and Geoffrey are very welcoming and it is always a pleasure to go down to the cottage in Sidmouth.

Magnolia Cottage is well placed within easy walking distance of the town and sea front. It is exceptionally well fitted out and has everything you need for a very comfortable stay. A warm welcome from hosts Selwyn and Geoffrey and helpful advice on places to visit and eat made for a very enjoyable stay. Visited with parents in late 80s so the downstairs bedroom was ideal for those with mobility restrictions.

This is our third year back, it is a fantastic spacious clean cottage with beautiful gardens the location is a five minute walk to the sea front, we absolutely love the little court cottages and the children always have a brilliant holiday

Once again we have enjoyed our stay in Magnolia Cottage. Well fitted out, very comfortable and spotlessly clean on arrival. We have loved taking advantage of the outside seating in the garden. This cottage is so handy for everything in Sidmouth, no more than 4 minutes walk to the Seafront, Shops or Connought Gardens. Also good car parking space allocated. Already booked for next year!!

We've stayed at MAGNOLIA COTTAGE many times over the last 13 years and it's always been SUPERB! The cottage is spotlessly clean, warm and welcoming, with all the amenities you would ever want! You are always sure of a warm welcome and nothing is too much for Selwyn and Geoffrey. The cottage is one of 5 in a very peaceful location, yet only a few minutes walk from the town or sea. We've stayed in many cottages throughout the country, from the downright disgusting to the very best and believe me this cottage IS the very best of them all!

This is our second time in Magnolia Cottage and the standard was again 5 star. Cleaned to a very high standard with all the amenities we needed. The location is perfect as you can walk from the cottage down to the town and promanade ( only 5 mins.) We highly reccomend this property.

This is the first time we have stayed in Magnolia but have previously stayed in both the Coach House and Courthaye. As usual everything in the Cottage to a very high standard and spotlessly clean on arrival. The new addition of a Dishwasher in the kitchen was very welcome! Very good to have a designated safe parking space for each cottage in the grounds. Very relaxing sitting in the garden and only 4 minutes walk from the town or seafront. Selwyn and Geoffrey always on hand and nothing is too much trouble. Looking forward to coming back again next year.

I think this was our 7th visit to Magnolia. We keep returning because it is always spotlessly clean and very comfortable and well equipped. Although Magnolia is very central for the beach, restaurants and shops in Sidmouth, it is very quiet and peaceful and is set in lovely gardens. Having an allocated parking space is very helpful in such a central location. The hosts Selwyn and Geoff are on hand to provide advice on where to visit locally and couldn't be more helpful.

Accommodation and gardens always maintained to the owners five star standards. The friendly and welcoming owners and staff are always available to help if needed. Ideally situated for exploring East Devon and Dorset or just enjoying the delights of Sidmouth.

5 Star all the way from the time you arrive to the day of departure. We really received a warm welcome and Magnolia Cottage was perfectly equipped, spotlessly clean and has charm and comfort rarely found elsewhere. After a weeks stay we were sorry to be leaving and hope to rebook in the not too distant future.

Dukes is lovely for dinner, recommend anything on the daily specials list all delicious! Sidmouth is charming, lots of walks from the cottages and the beach opposite the cricket field is great with lots of sand as the tide goes out. Beer is worth a visit, nice beach and the Bay Tree cafe does lovely lunches. The Donkey Sanctuary is now open again and nice for an hour or so if you would like to support them.

Littlecourt Cottages are absolutely, totally and utterly wonderful; if anyone is planning a holiday in Sidmouth this is definitely the place to stay.

A perfect place to relax and unwind amongst Sidmouth's many charms. Just a short stroll to the beach, the shops, parks and gardens, with the opportunity to enjoy cricket, bowls, putting, tennis and a host of water sports. The most welcoming and professional proprietors will make your stay complete.

Located minutes away from the sea/beach, transport, entertainment, shops and restaurants/pubs. The beautiful gardens are a match from the quality accommodation, kept to the highest standards. Service and attention to detail are the key to why, after visiting Sidmouth for over thirty years, Littlecourt and Magnolia Cottage are why we have returned for the last three years and have booked for 2019.

Although I have stayed in all but one of the other cottages, this was my first time in Magnolia. We all really appreciated the en suite facilities for all and the comfortable and homely lounge and kitchen. Everything you could wish for was provided and the quiet and beautifully maintained garden was always a pleasure to walk through. The situation of the properties couldn't be better for quick and easy access on foot to both town and beaches. We enjoyed visits to the local Donkey Sanctuary - a must for animal lovers - and the Swannery at Abbotsbury; however much of our time was spent in Sidmouth itself, enjoying the walks and the buzzing town life.

Another lovely stay in Magnolia Cottage at Littlecourt, Sidmouth. (This is the 6th year we have been in this cottage). Everything very comfortable and to a high standard. All spotlessly clean on arrival. The new updated curtains and bed linen and cushions add to the experience. There is a nice table and chairs outside to make use of and we did this every day in the lovely weather. Nice gardens to walk around and safe car parking in the grounds. Only 4 minutes walk from the town, beach and gardens. 2 minutes walk from bus stop for Exeter or Seaton/Lyme Regis. Our thanks to Selywn and Geoffrey for making our stay enjoyable. Theses are high quality cottages set in superb gardens in an ideal location being close to the seafront & the town. Both are a five minute walk away.The hosts do an amazing job ensuring that the facilities are maintained to a very high standard.

Excellent location. Beautiful peaceful garden and only 5 minutes stroll to seafront and town. Sidmouth has everything you need - car not compulsory. Have been coming to Littlecourt for 17 years and measure all other holiday accommodation against Selwyns impeccable standards. Nowhere else comes close. I highly recommend.

Beautifully refurbished and as always exceptionally clean. Very well equipped, excellent in every way. Charming and helpful hosts. Easy step to Manor Theatre and to beach. I think this is our 7th visit and we will be back again next year. Very comfortable and stylish accommodation. Good places to eat within a short walk. We never want to leave.

We have been staying at the Littlecourt Cottages for about 10 years now but this was our first time in Magnolia Cottage. It is a wonderful cottage with plenty of space. The kitchen is large with the dining room off it in a clerestory conservatory. The separate lounge is very comfortable and has a large screen tv. As always, the cottage is spotless and all en-suite rooms have appropriate cleaning materials. The towels are soft and fluffy and the toiletries provided are generous. The welcome we received was as enthusiastic and heartfelt as always. The atmosphere generated by Selwyn, Geoffrey and their team is supportive and help and advice provided in a warm and friendly manner. The advent of the current virus might cause some people to wonder about their health and wellbeing whilst away from home and this is most understandable BUT those who choose to stay at the Littlecourt Cottages need not fear. Magnolia Cottage was superbly presented, sanitiser was provided as were masks and gloves for those who needed them. We have no qualms about staying in the cottage and have booked again for next year. Sidmouth continues to enthral us with it's unique and relaxing atmosphere. There are many walks to take, coffee houses to visit and individual shops to browse in. The town still retains it's "old world charm" whilst embracing the 21st century. It is a very clean place with hardly any litter. Early every morning, local people wander along the beach looking for any litter. They find little of it. If you are looking for a relaxed holiday of any length in really nice surroundings then Sidmouth is the place to go to and Magnolia Cottage is where to stay.

5 star experience at this quaint ground floor apartment set in beautiful secluded gardens just of Sidmouth's main shopping streets and Esplanade. We were made so welcome and cared for exceptionally well by the owners. The apartment had everything we wanted and was immaculately clean. The onsite parking allocation worked great. No parking issues. Thank you Selwyn and Geoffrey. Can't recommend you highly enough.

A beautiful cottage with all mod cons, situated in easy walking distance of the delightful town and the pleasant sea front. Plenty of places for snacks and meals. Despite poor weather we really enjoyed our stay.

This was our fourth stay in Cherry Tree Cottage. It’s quality of accommodation and location remains unequaled. A short walk from Sidmouth town and the sea front is ideal. We’ve even booked our return stay!

We have just returned from our most recent visit to Sidmouth, our first at Littlecourt's Cherry Tree Cottage. . What a perfect place to stay. I can't understand why we didn't discover this little gem years ago, and have usually stayed in B & B's but this has broken our habit. So many holiday rentals lack things you take for granted at home - cool cotton bedding, knives that actually cut things, good sized wine glasses! Sorry about the cliche but this is truly 'a home from home', only minutes from the town centre, a welcoming and comfortable base to which to return after a day enjoying all Folk Week has to offer. Tips for other travellers
Book your restaurants in advance of your arrival as at present tables in the best ones are hard to get. The theatre is always good fun and is only a three minute walk away. If you have young children, the donkey sanctuary and the Axminster wildlife park are very good, and the beach is only a short walk from the cottages.

A wonderful cottage made even better by this years improvements. The addition of a cloakroom is particularly useful. The position is superb with easy access to both the town and the beach. Selwyn and Geoffrey make your stay perfect in every way and are always on hand to help if needed. I have been holidaying here for many years now and hope to be returning again next year. You will not find a better cottage in Devon.

An absolutely lovely cottage set in pretty gardens in a great location - an easy 5 minute walk into the town and the seafront. The upgrade to this cottage is amazing and the facilities are maintained to a very high standard throughout, with attention to detail and comfort. Selwyn provides a great welcome and is on hand to help with anything too. We look forward to coming back.

A new kitchen, ground floor WC, new furniture and TV. This first class accommodation has been raised to an even higher level. The beautiful gardens, the care and attention of to detail of Selwyn and Geoffrey ensures a great holiday. We have book, (as most visitors do), for our fourth stay next year.

Beautiful facility stayed in magnolia cottage had a lovely time. Kitchen is stunning , equipped with everything you need for great stay.

We have become regular visitors to Littlecourt and look forward to trips to this tranquil oasis which has everything you could want on the doorstep, with easy walks into town or the seafront. Properties are immaculate and very comfortable with private garden areas for each cottage. Selwyn and Geoffrey are welcoming and helpful and make us feel like part of the Littlecourt family.

Tips for other travellers
The excellent location means that there are plenty of options for shopping, eating, drinking etc a short walk from Littlecourt. There is even a theatre and cinema. Especially recommended are Neil's restaurant (for fish), Blinis (light lunches) and The Cinnamon Tree (for curry). No need to use a car locally but if travelling a little further The Donkey Sanctuary is always worth a visit, as well as Pecorama at Beer.

Now entering our second decade of holidaying here, hygiene and cleanliness has always been first class. Covid precautions carried out were over and above what was absolutely necessary so we were reassured that we were in a totally safe environment. I was really appreciative of the complimentary app giving us access to a selection of magazines and periodicals. Facilities remain very good and the gardens pleasant to relax in. We managed a lot of walks over the week, as we were located only a couple of hundred yards from the seafront and coastal path so felt that the week really benefited us after being in lockdown.
