Meadows Edge
The tranquil setting of Meadows Edge was once used as the village reading room. This same peaceful ambience will spoil couples seeking a romantic getaway. The old stone barn matches modern comforts with rural charm and is situated in the Teesdale hamlet of Holwick.
This pet-friendly cottage features an upside-down design to capture the beautiful views of the Yorkshire Dales. The first-floor living area comprises a well-equipped kitchen, dining area, cosy sitting room with views of the Holwick Fells, and a flame-effect electric stove.
The sitting room is reached via a stone staircase, one of the property’s reminders of its former life. The ground floor houses the well-appointed double bedroom and the en-suite with bath, shower, basin and WC.
Gas heating keeps this cosy cottage warm and toasty in winter when guests might want to watch TV or curl up with a gripping fantasy novel or crime thriller.
Hassle-free holidays are assured with a shared laundry room, off-road parking, space for the dog and a café on the owner’s farm. The furnished garden captures the sunlight and offers views of the surrounding Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Reviews
Excellent peaceful location
Owners very helpful and welcoming on arival. The cottage is very cosy and warm, its location is within easy walking distance of High & Low Force on the Tees. Plenty of other local outdoor walks from the door. Middleton is nearby and a delightful village with everything you need for a holiday. Within striking distance of Beamish Museum and Durham over the moors. Cothersdale, the local cheese is superb. Could not fault anything!
