The wood-burning stove at the room's heart creates a warm, cosy atmosphere, while two sofas and an armchair provide ample seating. Elegantly refurbished throughout, Gapperies boasts an inviting open-plan living space encompassing a well-equipped kitchen, a generous dining area, and a comfortable lounge.

The kitchen is outfitted with all-new appliances, including a spacious fridge-freezer, an electric oven with grill and hob, a microwave, a kettle, and a toaster. Ample cookware, crockery, cutlery, and glassware are at your disposal.

A short hallway leads to the three bedrooms, two featuring king-sized beds. One of these king-sized beds is elevated to optimize your view while savouring your morning tea or coffee, although it may not suit those with restricted mobility.

These two bedrooms share a spacious shower room with a washing machine. The third bedroom features twin beds and benefits from an en-suite shower room (please note there is no bathtub).

Gapperies include Wi-Fi, and heating and electricity are thoughtfully included in your accommodation price. Infrared heating panels on the ceiling provide efficient warmth by directly heating objects and people rather than the entire room.

A basket of logs will be provided for the wood burner during cooler months, and further supplies are readily available in the local village if needed.

The television features Freesat, and an Amazon Firestick provides convenient access to catch-up TV. Additionally, specific mobile devices and tablets can stream or mirror paid services to the TV. A Bluetooth speaker is also at your disposal for playing your favourite music.

You'll find bed linen and towels provided, although we kindly ask you to bring your beach towels if you intend to use them for day trips or outside the property.

Please note that no travel cots or highchairs are available at this property, but a fire guard can be provided upon request to ensure your little ones' safety. Gapperies is accessed via a sloping, gated drive leading away from the road, offering a private and scarcely visible location above the road. Ample parking space for up to 3 cars is available.

The current owners acquired this property in 2022, and while the external space was once overgrown, it now awaits future transformation into a beautiful garden. Please note that there is no lawn area, but a patio graces the side of the property, complete with 'conversation' chairs and a perfect spot for basking in the sun and taking in the magnificent view. An additional feature is a bowl firepit with a swing-arm BBQ grill. The garden area behind the property is still a work in progress, featuring a sloping terrain adorned with shrubs and trees.

You'll find it easy to access local footpaths, whether you want to explore the woods behind the property or head down to the marsh and to Porlock or Porlock Weir. You can also stroll along the road to reach the nearby beach.

West Porlock is a charming hamlet nestled between Porlock and Porlock Weir, with the 13th-century harbour at the heart of Porlock Weir, just over half a mile away. Here, you'll discover two restaurants, a welcoming pub, and a range of individual shops, including charming tea rooms and Exmoor Glass.

The village of Porlock, approximately a mile away, offers a wealth of amenities, boasting three pubs, two grocery stores, a traditional local butcher, a pharmacy, a cash machine, a hardware store, a visitor centre, art galleries, and a selection of independent shops and tea rooms.

Often referred to as "England's best-kept secret," Exmoor provides a stunning backdrop for outdoor enthusiasts.
