Virginia Cottage is in a great position and central for seeing such interesting places in Shropshire. This is our second visit to this Cottage and would definitely go back. The owners are very friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. Cannot wait to go back.

A weekend was quite simply not long enough! So tastefully and comfortably furnished with such care taken to ensure the cottage was equipped with everything you could possibly need. It was clear that the owners gave a lot of thought to what guests would need, both within the cottage and in terms of information to quickly and easily benefit from all there is on offer in this lovely part of the country.

The service we received was excellent. The Holiday Accomodation was perfect. There was everything you could want and more besides! We were all impressed with the wonderful layout and comfort of the home. The location was quiet and peaceful. My only complaint(besides the weather) was there were no close amenities, you had to drive everywhere.

The location of the cottsge is ideal for exploring Shropshire and Wales. There are many places of interest to visit within easy reach. The cottage was ideal for families as the garden and patio area were safe and secure. The cottage was well equiped and had everything needed for a comfortable stay.

This is a beautiful cottage, lovely decor and facilities. Lovely to have a choice of outdoor eating areas, too. All on one level so perfect for families.
The owners were friendly and helpful.
We recommend visiting acton Burnell castle, just a few minutes walk from the cottage. A perfect spot for a picnic or walk.

We had an awesome weeks rest in Virginia Cottage, the owners where fantastic people, I only wish we could have stayed longer. The cottage was beautifully appointed with everything you could want for a perfect break. I come from a farming background so the peace and quite of this farm forming a part of the village reminded me of my childhood from Cross Farm in Eastry, Kent. I would wholeheartedly recommend this cottage to anyone with or without animals.

The cottage provided a good base for touring Shrophshire with good walks out of the front door for the dog. The whole atmosphere was relaxing and peaceful. The local shop/ P.O. stocked the daily papers and other essential but often forgotten items.
Hope to return again soon.

This cottage should be 5 star. A very comfortable and well equipped property. Very secure patio - good for young children or pets. Excellent pub nearby (approx 2 miles) - "The Pound" at Leebotwood.

Absolutely beautiful cottage in a lovely peaceful location. Everything necessary for a wonderful holiday was provided in the cottage, even a welcoming bottle of wine on the dresser. Easy access to all that Shropshire has to offer and there is certainly plenty to see there. Excellent food in "The Plough" at Leebotwood about 2 miles away and an excellent Sunday carvery lunch at "The Station Inn" at Marshbrook, Church Stretton. We were so fortunate to pick the hot weather in April. It was more like being on holiday in July!

The cottage was immaculate, and the best accommodation that we have stayed in. Sometimes, if a property accepts dogs, you do not expect the incredibly high standard which greeted us at Virginia. The owners should be extremely proud of their conversion. A 5* property at an affordable price. Would definitely look to book again in the not too distant future. Cannot praise the cottage, or the warm friendly welcome by the owners, enough.

The village of Acton Burnell is small and very pretty. The cottage owners were both very friendly and helpful but did not intrude, allowing us a fabulous break - with someone on hand to answer any queries - mainly about the local surroundings.

The area was a great centre for getting around and the cottage was idyllic. Sykes were very efficient we would use again.

This was a child and pet friendly cottage. It was furnished to an excellent standard and had everything you could possibly need available. It was a great base for visiting the attractions including Acton Burnell castle and fishing. My young son particularly like the tractor parked in the shed and is still talking about it now. We intend to return next year as we had a fantastic time!
