Jamaal Lodge

We took our family of 5 plus both grandparents and dog on holiday for the first time. The house was ideal especially as we could put the grandparents on the ground floor with their own bathroom. My children could use the upstairs to watch tv and play computer games which suited them at times too. The location was brilliant for exploring the coast and castles of Northumbria. We also used the newly opened Go Ape and headed to Newcastle for our daughter's graduation.
The kitchen and dining area was superb for great family meals. This house had everything we needed.
We will definitely be revisiting this part of England and would highly recommend this house for a wonderful family holiday.

We recieved good service from the start. The house was well equiped, clean, comfortable,warm, and generally good all round. The gardens were nice and decent sized for the kids to play in. When we first arrived we felt like the house was in a unlikely posistion but it turned out to be a good central base. it was nice to be able have things in walking distance, such as the shop and the beach.
There was ample space for a family and it also felt quite homly. The thing we liked best was the two living areas, the two batrooms and the comfortable beds.
It probably would of been better if the garden had of been fenced in but it wasn't really a problem.
We very much enjoyed our stay and we would love to go back again.

The key holder was very friendly. We had a great week away with brother and his family to celebrate New Year. Kids found upstairs great as they could do there thing whilst adults sat downstairs

We booked this lodge having researched the area, despite it normally being far too big for our party of 3 + dog. Holidaying with a teenager & dog we had a good idea on what kind of accommodation we wanted and this property seemed to tick all of the boxes being advertised with internet aces (essential for teenagers) and an enclosed garden (reassuring for dog owners). Upon arrival we were more than impressed with the property and the location - being within reasonable walking distance of lovely beaches and some amenities nearby.
Cannot fault the standard of property but would like to point out a couple of small issues for us:
The internet speeds were slow to non existent after mid morning - no problem for us oldies that have other things to do but did prove problematic for the teenie
The enclosed garden wasn't really 'enclosed'. The balustrading that is around the veranda has a huge gap, by design, within it. This continues to the part that adjoins the garden. We managed to resolve this by taking a wooden pallet out of the garage and placing it up against it but anyone with a dog with a desire to escape may find this rather problematic.
Other than this we found this a fantastic property and a really good base to explore the Northumbrian coast and beaches. The really good weather we had was an added bonus.

Gorgeous house perfect distance from all good beaches and days out. There is a few issues with the house its not very well cleaned, the tv is small, there is bulbs missing out of most of the lamps, curtains aren't very good at keeping light out. Very well equipped with everything a family needs for a weeks stay. We have had a fab week away

The accommodation was first class and situated near all the attractions nearby.

Excellent property, fantastic value for money and amazing location

Great location. Loved the ease of getting around and using our bikes. Great location for 5 boys under the age of 7 to let off steam and get lots of fresh air.

Lovely holiday with great weather, which always helps. The spacious accommodation was great as we were joined by my Father and sister - useful ground floor accommodation for my Father and two bathrooms very useful. Enjoyed a meal at the Treehouse in Alnwick Gardens and the Morwick Dairy Ice cream place. Alnmouth is lovely.

This was a lovely lodge with plenty of room for the 7 people who stayed in our party. The Lodge was only 1.5 miles from the nearest pub/eatery. Fab Lodge will recommend this to our friends and family.

A Lovely, well-equipped property in an ideal location for enjoying the beautiful Northumbrian coastline.

Very suitable for disabled husband to get around and people who looked after the property were friendly and helpful.

There were several unexpected "extras" like the 4 good quality bicycles and a gas barbecue in the garage. The property exuded quality.

The house was great for two families sharing because of the big living space. The house was warm and cosy despite the cold weather.

Jamaal surpassed our expectations, it was a beautiful home, with everything you could wish for, and at a price that was affordable. Will certainly look to go back and would recommend to anyone.

Fantastic accommodation in a beautiful part of the country. Accommodation exceeded our expectations and we would class as outstanding facilities for what we paid for. The accommodation was great for my elderly grandparents as there was everything they needed on the ground floor. We thoroughly enjoyed our week and intend to return again.

The cottage was well equipped for all of us to have a fun and relaxing holiday. There was a fantastic garden with furniture and inside was very well equipped with games, etc, enough to keep us all happy. The location was excellent. There was somewhere to visit in every direction. We would recommend to anyone.

The house suited us perfectly as we had 2 sets of grandparents, teenagers and a small dog. It was warm, cosy, yet spacious. The position was brilliant for the beach and visiting all the local tourist attractions. A very and peaceful relaxing break in a quiet and beautiful area.

Nice quirky place to spend a holiday, loved the veranda and balcony and the kids liked having their own lounge area.

The property was ideal for 2 families, with the upstairs and downstairs living areas. The upstairs was transformed in the evening into a children only play area which they really enjoyed. Location wise it is ideal for all of the attractions.

Lovely house, very warm and close to the beach. Rooms all very big and having two living areas was great for the kids.

The cottage was very well equipped.

The house was airy and open with plenty of space and a choice of 2 sitting rooms.
The keyholders were very welcoming and helpful.

The accommodation was excellent, very comfortable and clean. We were well situated for tourist attractions and particularly liked our visit to Alnwick Castle and our boat trip around the Farne Islands.

It far exceeded our expectations.

Spacious property. Very warm even though it was freezing weather outside. Liked the walk to the sea. Further than we thought but lovely all the same.

Jamaal Lodge was one of the best holiday homes we have had, shops were very handy and beach at Druridge Bay only a couple of minutes drive away. Ideal location for days out.

Loved the Lodge, it was perfect for an extended family break with lots of space.

We have two elderly mothers with our party and this accommodation was very good for them due to the 2 downstairs bedrooms, bathroom and living room all on the ground floor. The location was also very handy with being so close to Druridge Bay Country park, Hauxley Nature reserve, Howick Hall Gardens and Bamburgh Castle. All of these facilities were excellent for the disabled.

We could not fault our holiday. The property was excellent and perfect for my Nana who is in a wheelchair as there is a ramp to get into the property. The wood flooring and spaciousness was ideal for anyone with a disability . The location was quiet , the weather was great and we visited many places that I have not been to in over 20 years. We will definitely be returning for another holiday.

Excellent accommodation, top notch. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this cottage to anyone. A really good base to explore the area, and to stay in. Excellent.

A good quality property which was very convenient for exploring the Northumbria coast and inland.

We particularly liked the location and general area. We enjoyed visiting the local towns and villages, castles and landmarks. It was lovely to return each evening to such a great holiday home, we really enjoyed our family time together there. It was easy to go out for a take away meal or to cook for ourselves. The Lodge was so well equipped.

The property was just so so comfortable and accommodating. Warm, cosy and clean. It was very well equipped and good quality. Everything we needed, we found.

The location was great, very central! The lodge was beautiful, very spacious and a great layout, perfect for us.
