Barn Cottage, Robin Hood's Bay

Very nice place to stay, good level of furnishings. Good shower, plenty of hot water.Very quiet, very rural but not too far from main road. Easy to find.

Barn Cottage was just as described on your web site. It was very clean and comfortable. The arrangements for the key were easy and instructions how to get there were easy to follow. The location was excellent - only a few miles from all attractions eg Whitby Museum.
All in all Barn Cottage was an enjoyable place to stay in beautiful country side.
My only slight grumble was that there was no soap to wash hands/shower and very little toilet paper.

Yes, this is a good location cottage in a very quiet location, yet within easy driving distance to Whitby and Robin Hood's Bay. All you need for a pleasant and relaxing stay. Good quality fittings and appliances, with good standard of cleanliness.

Excellent welcome on arrival, very spacious & clean. Both cottage & surrounding area absolutely first class. Will defiantly recommend to friends & family. Really good heating system & plenty of hot water.The thing we liked best was the lovely bathroom facilities. The thing we liked least was the TV was too small for the room although it worked well & had plenty of channels.

This was the first time I had used Sykes Holiday Cottages,they were great.Instructions and directions to cottage were spot on.On arrival we were met by the owner who showed us around the cottage,it was lovely,much bigger than the pictures show.I would definitely stay here again.A very comfortable and cosy cottage in a great location.Perfect base for exploring North Yorkshire.Whitby is a must.Shame we were only there for a week.

Lovely renovated barn, very modern facilities, warm and cosy ! I wanted a few days of peace and quiet within range of some good walking routes and this was perfect.

A good base for walking with lots of quaint historical villages. We enjoyed meeting a lot of pleasant people to chat with in the pubs and on walks. It was a very friendly welcoming place.

Excellent access to Robin Hood Bay and Whitby, fabulous coastline. Lovely and clean, spacious, nice and warm, private parking and plenty of towels.

The cottage was in a good position to access Whitby and the surrounding areas and it made a comfortable and cosy retreat to return to each day. The owner was very welcoming and advised that she was nearby if needed. All in all, we felt at home straight away and we didn't want to leave at the end of the week!

This cottage is very snug and cosy, and has lovely interior beams that the pictures don't do justice to.

We visited during a particularly cold spell, and the heating was excellent.

Kitchen stocked with tea, coffee and sugar, which was very welcome and a nice touch.

This was an excellent cottage, very clean, comfortable and beautifully furnished. The site was very quiet, and was within walking distance of the local pub (1 mile) and Robin Hoods Bay (2 miles). Thoroughly enjoyable stay.

This was a beautiful cottage, warm and cosy, we had a perfect restful week there. We would love to be able to return there. Both the countryside and Whitby were lovely.

Easy access to Whitby and lots of restaurants. Holidaying in April with dogs is great as the beach restrictions are not in force until May and there are lots of lovely beaches to walk them. Walked for miles even though the weather was cold.

Great location- Whitby just a 5 minute drive, Robin Hoods Bay and Fylingthorpe a 20 minute walk away.

The cottage suited my husband's lack of mobility perfectly. No steps/stairs, a walk in shower, high bed & lounge furniture that he could get in & out of with ease. Parking was just a few paces away.

The cottage has high ceilings which created light & space & was enhanced by the morning sun (when we got it). But in the evenings the cottage was lovely & cosy & warm (we were there in October). Overall an excellent property.

We liked the situation of the cottage. The owners were very helpful and the cottage was very spacious and attractive. Not too far from Whitby and handy for touring N.York moors and Coast. All in all to be recommended. We will go again.
