2. Porlock Bay Oysters
There aren't many National Parks in England with an Oyster Farm. Exmoor does! Located in Porlock, this award-winning, independent oyster farm on Porlock Bay on the West Somerset coast is one of the UK's few 'Category A' waters. This organic food supplier offers sustainably harvested Pacific oysters with a reputation amongst oyster lovers for their clean, fresh flavour. And other seafood, including crab and lobster, is sourced from Porlock Bay and the surrounding waters. Check out their website for advice on storing and shucking oysters or some tasty oyster recipes. Buy oysters by the box, or, for special occasions. They also sell gift boxes with lemons and shallots to accompany the oysters. If you want to push the (oyster) boat out, upgrade to a Champagne and Oyster or Guinness and Oyster Gift Box.

West Country Cheese
West Country Cheese in South Molton goes miles further than selling individual cheeses (although their cheese selection is impressive). Their produce extends to Wedding cheesecakes, crackers and accompaniments. It also has a licenced deli section, allowing you to select the right wine to go with your choice of cheese. If you want to splash out, you can create your own cheese hamper with cheeses, chutneys, crackers, buttermilk fudge, figs, etc., delivered in a wicker basket hand-tied with a silk ribbon. Like so many of Exmoor’s specialist food shops, while you can order online in advance of your visit, we highly recommend you visit the shop - each of them a little Aladdin’s case of culinary delights overseen by an expert who will be a mine of advice and information on ways to cook and serve their produce.
