Quince Honey Farm In North Devon. Open All Year.

My Favourite Holiday Cottages team recently visited Quince Honey Farm in North Devon to see what makes the place such an intriguing family attraction. While there, we had an opportunity to interview one of the bees, Buzzworth, to find out why families will adore what goes on at the Honey Farm. As you’ll see, Buzzworth thinks all human ‘beeings’ are just children at heart. You’ll ‘bee‘ impressed!

And if you want to see us in action, check out our observation hive. It's like a reality TV show, but with bees - a real hive of activity!

Nectar Gardens: A Pollen Paradise!

Prepare to bee amazed as you flutter through our Nectar Gardens! It's a veritable feast for the compound eyes, with thousands of bee-friendly plants arranged in a stunning hexagonal pattern. It's like nature's own honeycomb, but with more colours than you can shake a stinger at!

Paw-some News for Our Furry Friends!

Hey there, little bees! Did you know that your four-legged, tail-wagging friends are welcome to join the fun at Quince Honey Farm? That's right! We love well-behaved doggies on leads almost as much as we love honey!

But listen closely, my buzzing buddies. While your furry pals can explore most of our bee-autiful farm, they'll need to wait outside our indoor Soft Play Hive. That's where all you little bees get to play without any puppy distractions!

Don't worry, though; we haven't forgotten about our canine visitors. We've got special water bowls scattered around like little oases, perfect for thirsty pups. And guess what? We even have yummy doggie treats! It's like finding a secret stash of honey but for dogs!

Comfort for All Kinds of Bees

We've got clean toilets for when you need to powder your nose... or antennae! There are also special toilets for bees with different abilities and places to change baby bees.

Location: Where in the Big North Devon Flower Field Are We?

You can find us buzzing around at North Road, South Molton, Devon, EX36 3AZ. We're just off the North Devon Link Road (A361), so you won't get lost in the garden!

Opening Times: When Can You Join the Hive?

We're open all year round, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, seven days a week. But sometimes, we take a break to smell the flowers, so it's best to check our website or give us a buzz before you visit.

Where to Stay?

Tell the grown-ups they can find all kinds and sizes of family-friendly hives (I think you call them holiday cottages) in North Devon right here!

Anyone for a Waggle Dance?

Well, my little honeybees, that's all from Buzzworth for now. I’ve got to buzz off to do a ‘waggle dance ‘.

The dance is what we do to tell other bees in the hive about new pollen sources we've found to collect and turn into honey. This morning, I found a lovely flowery garden about three miles from my hive, so it will be a long ‘dance’!

Oh, there are so many fascinating facts about bees; we just cannot wait to share them with you.
