Houses to rent with plenty of bedrooms will often display floor plans on their websites (there's a link to each cottage's website on their listing). Floor plans make working out the sleeping accommodation much easier before you book. Don't forget to ensure there are sufficient ensuite bathrooms for everybody.

Big holiday houses also tend to be very well equipped to ensure the needs of all guests are met. The bigger the property, the more likely it is to have additional facilities not found in smaller properties, such as extra lounges, ensuite bathrooms, satellite TV, hot tubs, games barns and swimming pools. Remember to check a property with at least one dining table that can seat all the guests in your group.

Large holiday homes can be rented for short or long stays, making them ideal for family vacations or group getaways. They provide a home-away-from-home experience, allowing guests to relax and enjoy their time together in a comfortable and spacious setting. Try to book ahead as far as possible, especially for summer and Christmas/New Year bookings when demand for larger holiday cottages is at its peak.

Don't be shy of the price. It may look significant, but once you break it down into the cost per person per night, you'll find that it can often be a less expensive option compared to smaller properties or hotels.
