Lilliput, Bidport

Lilliput is a detached holiday cottage in Shipton Gorge, a Dorset village about two miles from the stunning Jurassic Coast world heritage coastline. Nestling in the beautiful rolling hills of the Bride Valley, Shipton Gorge benefits from an excellent local pub, The New Inn, which is managed and run by the local community and serves food and local ales.

Lovely walks may be enjoyed from the front door of Lilliput through the splendid countryside to the coastal path or over the hills. From the front of the cottage, take time to relax in the garden, enjoying the aroma of the many plants and flowers or sit in the secluded back garden with its patio area.

The cottage has a spacious lounge and a separate kitchen and dining area. With a bedroom and shower room downstairs, Lilliput may be particularly suitable for guests who prefer ground-floor accommodation (once you have access via the steps or slope down to the property).

Leaving the cottage, a short drive away in Burton Bradstock, a shop, several good pubs and the popular Hive Beach can be found. Another mile or so away is Bridport, which provides all shopping needs and an excellent weekly market. Many local attractions include the world-famous Cobb in Lyme Regis and Abbotsbury, a village with sub-tropical gardens and Swannery. All this makes Lilliput the perfect getaway at any time of the year.

Accommodation: Kitchen. Dining Room with patio doors to garden. Lounge. Downstairs shower room with hand basin and toilet. Bedroom 1 has twin single beds or a zip-and-link king-size double bed. Stairs to the first floor, Bedroom 2, double bed. Bedroom 3, double bed. Bathroom with bath (shorter than standard), hand basin and toilet.

Additional services: Wifi. Freezer. Flat screen TVs in lounge and bedrooms 1 and 2. Gas central heating. The garage is 2.4m x 4.8m, plus parking for a small car in front of the garage, accessed a short way along an unmade, unlit road. Bed linen and towels included.

Pets: Please note that whilst the owners of Lilliput welcome two well-behaved pets, they are not to be left unattended on the property at any time. The nearby eating places, such as The New Inn, The Anchor and Hive Beach Cafe, are dog-friendly.

This property is not suitable for children under five or those with limited mobility due to the stepped/sloped access to the property (24 steps) from the parking area.
