Old Maids Cottage, Lee Bay
Old Maids is a grade II-listed North Devon holiday cottage in the picturesque North Devon seaside village of Lee Bay near Ilfracombe. The cottage has three bedrooms sleeping six guests: a double with an en-suite bath, a zip/link bed with an en-suite bath and a double served by a shower room. Completing the interior is an open-plan living space with a kitchen, dining area and sitting area with a woodburning stove.
Outside, ample off-road parking, a patio area with furniture, and a lawned area. Old Maids Cottage is a beautiful base for exploring this corner of North Devon.
Lee is a charming North Devon seaside village, the perfect place to shelter away from it all on holiday. Tucked away on the North Devon coast, it comprises a cluster of old cottages tumbling down to the rocky beach, which cries out for shrimping nets to be used.
The pet-friendly Cottage is located a short stroll from the heart of the village, the Grampus Inn, which is both child and dog friendly. Lee is lucky enough still to have a working village store operated by the Grampus team.
Old Maids is also well located for discovering the delights of North Devon. It is close to some of Devon’s finest beaches, such as Saunton Sands, Croyde and Woolacombe, and the spectacular cliff-top walks along the South West Coastal footpath between Combe Martin and Lynton. Lee is also just a short drive away from the wild grandeur of the Exmoor National Park.
