Bratton Mill Cottage
Pet-Friendly Secluded Waterside Cottage in a Remote Valley. Sleeps 4.
Situated amidst mature riverside gardens that lead into the open North Devon countryside, Bratton Mill Cottage, near the village of Bratton Fleming, offers comfortable accommodation for small groups looking for a relaxing holiday in the South West.
This pet-friendly 17th-century North Devon cottage was recently redecorated yet retains much of its original character and charm, including exposed beams and a narrow wooden staircase. It is part of a former mill set in the valley beneath the medieval village, with a trout stream running alongside the large garden surrounding the property.
The entrance to Bratton Mill Cottage is through a large lobby with a washing machine and freezer, which opens onto the ground-floor sitting room with a wood burner and flat-screen TV, fitted kitchen/breakfast room, and bathroom.
The first floor of this countryside cottage includes two bedrooms, including a double master with an en-suite bathroom and a twin room. All rooms are beautifully furnished with lovely views overlooking the garden.
Bratton Mill Cottage is part of a 28-acre property of garden, woodland, and undulating pastureland teeming with wildlife such as red deer, kingfisher, and the occasional otter and stoat. Nearby, Bratton Fleming is within walking distance of the cottage, whilst a short drive away lies the larger town of Barnstaple, the North Devon coast and the picturesque moorland of Exmoor National Park.
