Overbrook Barn, Buxton

Overbrook Barn was converted from its historical use as a traditional Peak District Barn to a holiday cottage in 2009. Where farm stock once stood is now a delightful cosy holiday cottage with clean and contemporary-style furnishings standing in a beautiful rural location near Buxton. This large, pet-friendly holiday home in Derbyshire sleeps eight guests in four bedrooms (one on the ground floor).

The Barn is approached via a long private drive and has parking for up to 6 cars right outside. The driveway also leads to a bridleway on the famous Three Shires Head network of footpaths, providing some of the most spectacular walking and riding in the country.

Inside the Barn, the ground floor comprises an open-plan living room with lounge, dining and kitchen areas, from which beautiful views over the farm can be enjoyed through the windows. The room contains a log-burning stove, Sky TV, DVD, BluRay and a music system. Also on the ground floor is a double bedroom with a super-king-sized bed and en-suite bathroom. The well-equipped kitchen contains all the appliances to keep even cordon bleu chefs happy. These include a Neff Oven with ceramic hob, dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine with dryer, toaster, food processor, kettle and many more items.

There are three further bedrooms on the first floor, each with a TV/DVD and zip and link beds, allowing them to be used as either twin or super-king double bedrooms according to your requirements. A family bathroom services the bedrooms with a bath having a shower over, WC, basin and heated towel rail.

The Barn can be kept deliciously warm with a very effective central heating system, making holidays and short breaks possible all year round. The Barn has Broadband throughout the property for those who prefer to be in a rural location without completely losing touch with the outside world.

Overbrook Barn is a pet-friendly property. Step outside, and you have your own secure garden with a BBQ plus a table and chairs to seat all eight guests. In addition to the garden, there are also 'off-lead' walks around the farm and further afield. Overbrook Barn is surrounded by fields of these beautiful and inquisitive creatures, and you're welcome to walk among them. Also, on the farm are sheep, pigs, chickens, and ducks: a petting paradise for children! We can arrange a hot tub for your stay if you wish.
