Just a mile outside the old village of Scales, Cumbria, lies Beech Cottage, a remote country cottage from which families can embark on Lakeland countryside adventures. This pretty, semi-detached cottage in the Lake District sits just a mile from the beaches along Morecambe Bay and a short drive from the popular market town of Ulverston.
The child-friendly cottage comfortably sleeps a family of four, with two delightful bedrooms and a ground-floor bathroom with shower and basin. The small, well-equipped kitchen opens to a porch area, while the spacious sitting room comes with a cosy multi-fuel stove, TV with DVD player, and access to a small front garden and patio area with furniture. The pet-friendly cottage welcomes up to two well-behaved dogs and comes with a washing machine and tumble dryer.
This Scales holiday cottage lies in the heart of the Cumbrian peninsula, with plenty of accessible day trips available for families on the go. A well equipped cottage in a peaceful location.

We stayed in Beech Cottage over the February Half Term Holiday.

We arrived late on Friday evening and were delighted to find the fire was lit, there was fresh milk in the fridge, and tea and coffee on the worktop in the kitchen, all we needed to do was boil the kettle!

The fuel was included, the cottage was warm, clean and well equipped.

We had a fantastic stay and would recommened the property to anyone wanting a quiet break.

The area surrounding the cottage itself was beautiful with peace and tranquility. We were met by the owners who had already lit the fire and left us fresh milk in the fridge!

The holiday was lovely, the cottage was very comfortable and nicely laid out and in a lovely peaceful village but not too far from major towns. The weather was glorious which obviously helped!
