The grounds at Silverholme are unique, right on the edge of Lake Windermere. They include a fantastic private driveway with parking for many cars. The beautiful garden is complete with an elegant patio, garden furniture and a barbecue, perfect for feasting your eyes on the most amazing views.

There is a range of relaxing rooms to enjoy during your stay at Silverholme, from the drawing room with its classical furniture and wood burner that seats up to 9 people to the manor house library that seats a further 6. Silverholme even has its own cinema room that seats five people. The breakfast area in the kitchen has room for 12. All rooms in this beautifully preserved Georgian manor house are elegantly appointed with a range of sofas, chairs, and occasional tables.

The open-plan kitchen and dining area are modern and wonderfully appointed. The stunning long white table seats up to 18 people, and you can benefit from the most spectacular views through the enormous windows. This room is perfect for a family get-together or a celebration. For more traditional meals and formal events, there is a gorgeous high-ceilinged dining area with seating for up to 14 people around a beautiful solid wood table with a feature fireplace at the end. All rooms are appointed with facilities up to the highest standards, from the electric quad oven in the kitchen to the 50-inch modern flat-screen TV in the cinema room, complete with surround sound. The property also has one of the most elegant hallways you will ever see, with a sweeping oak staircase on a beautiful tiled floor and a grand opening entrance.

There are nine bedrooms in the main house, including:

• one ground-floor, king-sized double bedroom with an ensuite bathroom and a separate shower.

• one ground-floor twin bedroom with an ensuite bath and a walk-in shower. Both of these rooms are ideal for those with limited walking abilities.

On the first floor, there are:

• one twin bedroom with its own ensuite bathroom, bath, and separate shower.

• one twin bedroom is on the first floor, again with an ensuite bathroom with a shower over the bath.

On the second floor, there are:

• two king-size double bedrooms complete with ensuite bathrooms with baths.

• one twin bedroom on the second floor also has an ensuite bathroom with a shower over the bath.

In the Coachman’s cottage, you will find:

• one double bedroom that has its own ensuite shower room, WC and wash hand basin. Coachman’s cottage has an open-plan feel with a modern kitchen, sitting, and dining area.

During your stay at Silverholme near Hawkshead in the Lake District, you can take advantage of the facilities on the estate grounds. These include an indoor heated swimming pool, a fitness suite, a children’s playroom, and a table tennis room.
