This is where we used to shear our alpacas. When we reorganised the farm in 2018 we decided its position and view were too good to lose so we converted it as you see today: looking like a modern farm building with cosy accommodation and lovely views.

The Shearing Shed is at the end of our driveway and has parking for at least four cars immediately outside your gate.

Like Overbrook Barn the style is clean, modern and cosy rather than rustic. The living room, dining room, and kitchen are on the ground floor in a single open-plan space with full floor-to-ceiling views down the valley and over the alpaca feeding area. The glass-balustraded patio overlooks the brook.

Upstairs are the three bedrooms, shower room with lavatory, and separate lavatory. The bedrooms can be made into super-king doubles or twins as you prefer. All bedrooms have natural fibre duvets with cotton sheets and covers (bed linen and towels are provided, and we can provide hypoallergenic bedding if you need it). The shower room has a walk-in shower, lavatory, basin, and towel radiator.

The kitchen is fully equipped with all the essentials you'll need for adventurous cooking for a full house! It includes Neff oven, microwave, and induction hob; dishwasher, fridge/freezer, and washer/dryer, along with the usual range of kitchen equipment: food processor, toaster, kettle, etc.. The dining tables will seat up to 22 people should you be organising a party. The sofa bed sleeps two comfortably on a large double mattress (180 x 150cm). There's a log burning stove, TV, BluRay DVD, music system, a phone which you're welcome to use, and free wireless broadband internet throughout.

Central heating keeps the Shearing Shed deliciously warm 24 hours a day. There's a barbeque area, and a hot tub rental can be arranged if you'd like. Well behaved pets are welcome, there's a secure garden and plenty of room for off-the-lead walking on the farm. There's bags of room to smoke on the farm but please don't smoke inside. The farm is your playground: treat it as if you owned the place!

"What a wonderful few days! We love the Shearing Shed, you really have done a fantastic job making this such a warm comfortable, yet practical place to stay with our dog. I'm sure the kitchen is better equipped than ours at home! It is lovely to stay somewhere that immediately feels like home, that has wonderful views, and how fantastic to see the alpacas grazing right outside when you wake up in the morning! This has been the perfect getaway for us and without a doubt we'll be back!"

"We had an amazing week, we are sad to be leaving and already planning our next stay. No words can do the Shearing Shed justice. Everything has been thought of, and so inviting for young children and dogs. Gemma, Simon, and Ludo have been an extension of the family this week."

"The shearing shed is fantastic. Better equipped than home and the log fire is a great feature. The location is ideal for a peaceful getaway and the alpacas made it a trip to remember. A great base to explore the peaks. Wonderful hosts who couldn't have been more helpful and attentive! 5 stars to Gemma and family."
